Principal Architect
Job Summary
Kiha Software is looking for a Principal Architect to join our team. Working closely with the Executive team, Development, Operations and Product Management, you will define our technical platform, oversee and participate in its implementation and delivery, and coordinate the successful deployment and running of the platform at internet/carrier scale. This is a critical leadership position in our company and is a great opportunity for a strong technologist to participate both strategically and tactically to shape the vision for our product. This position reports to the VP of Product.
- Responsibilities
- Be the owner and champion for the definition, roadmap and development of Kiha's cutting-edge, core technology platform
- Work with the Executive and Product Management teams to collect and understand customer needs and turn those into requirements for our entire product stack
- Working with the development and operations teams, define a platform roadmap, identify technologies to investigate and integrate and ultimately deliver on the technical solution
- Create and maintain detailed, clear and concise architecture plans and design documents, ensuring a common understanding across all levels of the company
- Be the driver within Kiha for ensuring our services are scalable, reliable, performant, operable and maintainable. Be chief fanatic for instilling those traits across our services and throughout the development team.
- Must be metrics driven. You want to squeeze every last millisecond of performance out of our system. You agonize over that next 0.1% gain and can explain how much it saves us in operational costs

- Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years experience of shipping commercial software products on time and on budget, having ideally worked for both a startup and a top-tier software company
- Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in a senior technical leadership role on internet-scale distributed applications and services
- Deeply passionate about technology. You read and write tech blogs, prototype the latest cool tech while on the bus and you dream about making complex systems simpler.
- Pragmatic about applying the right technology at the right time. You can balance the needs of the business against the needs of the platform.
- Read, write, speak, teach and breathe Java.
- Deeply versed in the key web technologies, methodologies and service offerings. You have a strong understanding of and experience with SOA, Spring, Lucene, Hadoop, Mongo DB, CXF, EC2 and more.

Sr. Product Marketing Manager
Kiha Software is looking for an experienced Senior Product Marketing Manager with an emphasis in Marketing and Public Relations. Your work will include defining our go to market strategy and delivering a truly breakthrough product line. This role requires strong project management, marketing savvy, people and vendor management and organizational skills. This role reports to the Director of Product Marketing.
The Product Marketing Manager plays a critical role in defining the next phases of Kiha's product marketing, positioning and public messaging. You should be knowledgeable about the mobile phone industry, experienced with large product releases, conversant with current trends in marketing and social media promotion and excited about the opportunity to deliver your best work on a tight timeline.

- Product Release: Experience in product release cycle, specifically focused in marketing and public relations. iPhone Developer (Contract)
Kiha's product development team is looking for a talented developer to help us create iPhone applications as part of our core product offering. Working closely with Program Management, Creative, Development and QA, you will define, implement and perfect core product features. This position reports to the Director of Applications.

- Collaborate with design, engineering and product teams on requirements, design and implementation of iPhone applications.
- Design, code, and test iPhone applications.

Lead SDET
Kiha Software is seeking a motivated and proven SDET Lead. The ideal candidate will take ownership of all tools development across the company. This person will lead by example, enforce best practices, unify multiple on-going initiatives and drive quality through the pursuit of intelligently applied tools and automation.
Duties will include leading (not managing) a group of SDET professionals in ensuring consistency in day to day coding practices and ensuring individual projects line up with long term company goals. This position will report to the QA manager and integrate into the QA organization as a whole.
You are passionate about driving Quality. You thrive in an Agile and dynamic working environment. Temper this with pragmatism and experience and you will be the ideal Candidate. This role is not a white box test role, but rather an SDE in Test.
- Responsibilities
- Own and Drive Tools Development including Automation, unit testing, load/stress and performance testing
- Mentor SDET team and provide a clear and unified vision of technical best practices
- Maintain current code base and research new tools & methodologies to implement across the group and company as a whole

Kiha’s Client Applications team is looking for a talented web developer to help us create web applications as part of our core product offering. Working closely with Program Management, Creative, Development and QA, you will define, implement and debug core product features. This position reports to the Director of Applications.
- Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with design, engineering and product teams on requirements, design and implementation of web applications.
- Design, code, and test web applications, using Ruby on Rails, HTML, Javascript and CSS.
- Participate in projects from requirements gathering through implementation and QA to deployment.

- At least 4 years of production-quality web development experience, with skills in Ruby on Rails, HTML, Javascript and CSS.

Operations Engineer
Kiha is looking for an experienced Operations Engineer with a strong production operational background who insists on operational best practices in areas such as security, deployment, and monitoring. Exp developer with innate troubleshooting skills who can contribute in areas such as building tools and resources to implement automated, large-scale, virtual data centers. This is an FTE role NOT a contractor.
Responsibilities
- Help to design and develop the tools and resources to implement a fully automated, large-scale, cloud-based, virtual data center.
- Identify, tune, and deploy new infrastructure tools to meet the needs of a highly scalable, rapidly growing web-based service.
- Working closely with software engineers to tune performance and identify problems.
- Qualifications
- 5+ yrs experience administrating complex clusters of servers in production environments
